Wow, sounds so nice. ^^ It'd be nice to have one as a pet, but I guess that they would die here, cos it gets too cold in the winter. : (
Yes, well, the chameleons and iguanas resemble each other quite much, so don't worry too much about mistaking them. ^^
I don't search the web cos it isn't so nice. If I ask from you, you can tell me 1) about what do they look like, and 2) you propably tell me about your own experiences with them, just as you did. (that you have mistaken them) If I searched the web, I'd only see what they look like, but I wouldn't get any other kind of knowledge. :3
Well, in most of this country's houses there are warming systems, though sometimes the temperature gets so cold that it might outside -35 Celsius and inside a house only +15 of Celsius.
This can happen especially during power-blackouts. The power-blackouts happen when snow packs onto the branches of trees, and trees then fall onto the power-lines, cutting the electricity from houses nearby. Some of the newest houses don't have ovens or fireplaces installed, just electrical warming, and when electricity is out... that's just not cool. I mean nice, cos it gets quite cool when you don't have anything to warm your house with.
Fortunately in our village every house has some sort of fireplace or oven, and there's plenty of wood to be used. ^^
And wow, I thought that you really have crocos around your house, but you were kidding. How long a komodo dragon might grow?
